The project itself :

Project Overview

WeDort is a platform that helps people easily find nearby vans and drivers to move their things. I designed the entire digital product from the ground up including the website, customer app, driver app, partner dashboards, driver dashboard, and the full admin control panel. I also created the visual identity, social media visual direction, and email templates. In short, I shaped every part of the product’s design to make the whole experience simple, friendly, and consistent.

Problem:

People often struggle to find a reliable, fast, and affordable way to move items especially when they need a van or small truck on short notice. Existing solutions are either slow, complicated, or not transparent. Drivers and transport partners also lack an easy way to receive orders, manage trips, and grow their business.

Goal:

The goal was to create a smooth, modern, and trustworthy platform that connects users with nearby drivers instantly. We wanted to make booking, tracking, and managing deliveries simple for customers, while also giving drivers, partners, and admins powerful dashboards to run their operations efficiently.

My role:

I was the lead product designer responsible for shaping the entire product experience from end to end.

Responsibilities:
  • Desisgned the visual identity: logo, colors, typography, and brand guideline

  • Designed the full customer experience: website, booking flow, and mobile app

  • Created the driver app and all driver-facing features

  • Designed the partner dashboards for transport companies

  • Built the driver dashboard and tools for managing orders

  • Designed the entire admin panel for operations and support teams

  • Directed the visual style for social media and marketing

  • Designed the email templates and communication visuals

  • Ensured a consistent, friendly, and easy-to-use experience across all platforms

Wedort brings all essential features into a simple, intuitive structure, giving users a clear path from discovery to action. The app is organized into streamlined sections that help users navigate effortlessly—whether they’re exploring services, connecting with professionals, or managing their own projects. Each screen is designed to reduce friction, highlight key actions, and guide users naturally through the experience. The result is a clean, efficient ecosystem where every interaction feels purposeful and easy, allowing users to focus on what matters without confusion.

All about the user :

User Research

I researched how people book vans and how drivers and transport partners work today. Customers needed a faster and simpler way to book a van and track their delivery. Drivers needed clear instructions and an easy way to manage their trips. Partners and admins needed better tools to oversee their teams and daily operations. These insights helped shape the main features and overall design of the platform.

Hidden Costs – Pricing feels unpredictable and confusing.

Drivers

Confusing Orders – Trip details are incomplete or unclear.

Chaotic Management – Drivers juggle calls, WhatsApp, and notes.

Late Payments – Tracking earnings and payments is difficult.

Partners/Admins

Poor Oversight – Hard to monitor drivers and fleets.

Manual Operations – Managing orders and teams takes too much time.

Weak Communication – Coordinating with drivers and customers is messy.

Goal

The goal was to create a platform that makes booking, managing, and tracking deliveries easy for customers, while giving drivers and partners simple tools to manage trips and operations. The aim was to build a smooth, reliable, and friendly experience for everyone involved.

Starting the Design

I created a set of diagrams and storyboards to clarify WeDort’s information architecture and end-to-end flows. Next, I sketched paper wireframes for the key screens and translated them into digital wireframes. Finally, I assembled a low-fidelity prototype and used it to run early usability sessions with stakeholders, validating the workflow, terminology, and exception handling before moving into high-fidelity UI.

On this step I used the Visily.ai design tool to create digital wireframes of all the pages. Then I bonded all of them into the clear and smooth structure.
The goal is to show how all the pages and things interact with each other.

Refining Design

I created static high-fidelity design mockups of the WeDort platform, applying insights from the earlier research and usability studies to reflect the final product. Then, I turned these mockups into a fully interactive high-fidelity prototype for testing and demonstration.

I designed all the pages and mockups for the WeDort platform, including the website, client app, driver app, partner dashboard, driver dashboard, and admin panel. I carefully applied typography, colors, iconography, and visually appealing images, while developing all necessary components and elements. The goal was to showcase the final product in full detail and provide a complete representation of the platform experience.

Outcome

For WeDort, I created diagrams and storyboards to better understand and organize the platform’s structure. I then sketched paper wireframes and moved into digital wireframes, building a low-fidelity prototype that allowed us to run initial usability tests with stakeholders and validate the core experience early on.

Takeways

I created diagrams, storyboards, and wireframes that helped visualize and refine how users interact with every part of the WeDort platform from booking a van to managing deliveries.

Impact:

Users found the WeDort experience simple, intuitive, and reliable. Customers could book a van quickly, drivers could manage trips with clarity, and partners/admins gained full visibility and control over operations.

What I learned:

I learned that even small improvements in clarity, navigation, and communication can have a big impact on user trust and efficiency. The biggest lesson was to always design with the real daily challenges of each user group in mind.

Next Steps

The series of hand-drawing frames that visually describe and explore a user's experience with a product. 

Conduct follow-up usability studies on the updated high-fidelity prototype.

Identify additional user needs across the client app, driver app, and dashboards, and explore opportunities for new features.
